The Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori festival is held every year at the end of August and is one of Tokyo's largest festivals, attracting approximately 1 million visitors.

Two months later, the "Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori Plus +" event will feature an introduction to the history of the Koenji Awa Odori, performances by local Ren (Awa Odori groups), musical instrument experiences, dancing, and a chance to try on a basic Awa Odori costume.

The climax will be a spectacular performance that combines traditional performing arts and digital arts.

This is a program that allows you to experience the charm of Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori to the fullest!

In addition, there will be an after-party around Koenji Station where you can interact with the Awa Odori dancers!

Experience dancing, instrument performance and costume dressing

By participating in this experience, you can try playing traditional instruments, learn the dance, and even dress in simple Awaodori costumes.
Let’s enjoy the Awaodori just like the festival performers!

Projection mapping synchronized with sound

Enjoy a unique fusion of traditional Japanese performing arts and digital imaging technology. The combination of sound and light enhances the charm of Awaodori, offering you a truly special experience.

Interact with the performers at the after-party

At the end of this content, an after-party will be held around Koenji Station where you can dine with the Awaodori performers. Enjoy delicious food and drinks while mingling with the performers.
